'Azadi Ki Gaurav Yatra' rally organised

In continuation of the nationwide 'Azadi Ki Gaurav Yatra' campaign being organised by All India Congress Committee (AICC) to mark 75 years of India's independence, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) took out a rally from the residence of MPCC president and Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra till Laimanai, Tulihal under Andro AC in Imphal East district on Sunday.
The rally was participated by Meghachandra, former deputy CM Gaikhangam, Congress MLAs and party workers who shouted slogans against rising prices of LPG cylinder and other essential commodities, unemployment, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, K Meghachandra informed that the rally has been organised on the eve of 75th Independence Day to highlight the role played by Indian National Congress (INC) in the freedom struggle and subsequent independence of India from British rule as well as the developmental works that the party has done after India attained independence.
The main objective of the rally is to reach out to the people of the nation and draw government's attention towards the issues faced presently by them such as rising inflation, GST hike and unemployment problem among youth, he added.
