Memos submitted to Union MoS Rameshwar Teli

Several unions and associations submitted memorandums to union minister of state (Labour) Rameshwar Teli when he came to attend the function for distribution of e-SHRAM cards organised by the labour department at Hotel Sangai hall here on Friday.
In a release, Young Women Street Vendors' Association general secretary K Kunjarani Devi informed that a memorandum highlighting the issues faced by street vendors particularly in Khwairamband market was submitted to the union minister urging for classifying areas where street vendors conduct their business, issuing vendor cards to genuine street vendors, implementing Manipur State Urban Livelihood Mission for the benefits of street vendors, releasing the pending fund of PM Street Vendor Atma Nidhi second phase and setting up a warehouse for making Imphal a smart city.
Similarly, All Manipur Trade Unions' Council also submitted a memorandum to the minister for addressing the issues of Anganwadi workers.
According to a release, the council urged for changing special employees provident fund office to regional office, providing minimum wages to Anganwadi workers and releasing honorarium for Anganwadi helpers timely.
It also urged departments concerned to co-operate with Labour department in making e-SHRAM cards so as to ensure benefit of social security to Anganwadi and mini Anganwadi workers.
Another release issued by MSPDCL Engaged Employee' Union informed that the Union minister was urged to regularise service of MSPDCL Engaged Employees, cover contract MSPDCL employees in ESIC, computer operator in EPF, announce contract workers who worked during the pandemic as Covid warriors and to fully provide Labour Code 2020 among others.
