No strong rival of NPP in Saikul: Seikholal

NPP candidate for the seat of Saikul assembly constituency Seikholal Haokip has said that there no strong rival of NPP in Saikul assembly constituency and he will win the ensuing election.
Speaking at his flag hoisting ceremony held at his Mantripukhri Lamlongei residence on Saturday, Seikholal maintained that none of his rivals in Saikul AC are strong contenders in the ensuing election and two of them are new faces while the others are aged politicians who should have retired from politics.
As such, he is the only viable contender for the seat of Saikul AC, Seikholal claimed.
Though there are several political parties in the country, there are only eight national parties and NPP, which has roots in the northeast, is one of them.
He chose NPP as he believes in the party's one voice one northeast slogan and he also strongly believes that NPP will be the best political party for the state to scale new height of development.
It is also the only party, which can bring up issues related with the northeast in the parliament, he said.
Maintaining that Saikul AC is still lagging behind in terms of development in every sector, he assured of bringing all round development in the constituency with special focus on education, agriculture, health and sports sectors if he got elected.
He emphasised on the potential of permaculture to improve socio-economic condition of the people of the AC while assuring of taking up necessary steps in this field by consulting with subject experts.
He also assured of playing major role in bringing unity and integrity in the state if he got elected.
