Azadi Ki Gaurav Yatra held in Kakching

Kakching, August 11 2022:
Manipur Pradesh Congress committee organised 'Azadi Ki Gaurav Yatra' rally to celebrate 75th year of India's independence at Wabagai Lamkhai Bazar in Kakching district on Thursday.
The rally was participat ed by Congress Legislature Party leader O Ibobi, MPCC president K Meghachandra, Sugnu MLA K Ranjit, Wabagai ex-MLA Fajur Rahim and MPCC secretary Ksh Kennedy among others.
The rally participants also raised slogans against non-availability of fertilizer, hiking price of LPG, high rate of unemployment and violation of rights of farmers, students and women folks.
Speaking to the media on the side lines of the rally, K Meghachandra informed that the rally has been organised under 'Yaad Karo Qurbani' campaign to honour the supreme sacrifices made by the Indian freedom fighters and join the year-long celebration of India's 75 years of independence.
The rally is also aimed at making the people in every nook and corner of the state aware about the hard times besetting the people at the juncture, he added.
He also expressed disappointment that the police stopped the rally which carried out by holding the National Flag.
Meghachandra also opined the government's order directing employees to leave social media groups is violation of right to freedom of speech and expression and appealed to the people to join hands in fighting against the government's act of supressing the right to freedom of speech and expression.
