Manipur's first AI Robot maker Dayananda feted

Kakching, May 08 2024: Smart Universal Academy, Sekmaijin Khunou felicitated Thokchom Dayananda, the first Manipuri to make Artificial Intelligence technology powered Robot, at the school on Wednesday.

Dayananda is the son of Thokchom Ibochouba and Ibe of Phoubakchao Awang Leikai and had studied at the Academy till Class X.The felicitation programme was attended by School Management Committee chairman Kongkham Manglem as chief guest and principal Dr Mayengbam Pishak as president while School Management Committee secretary Konthoujam Kiran and Bishwash Education Society, Mayang Imphal founder Chongtham Shyam were present as guests of honour.

During the felicitation programme, Dayananda explained how the robot was developed and demonstrated its capabilities.

Questions were also asked to the robot, which were all answered much to the delight of those present on the occasion.

Giving credit to his parents for his success in developing the AI robot, Dayananda revealed that he used to waste precious times by playing games on the mobile phone.

But after realising the loss, he started utilising the knowledge gained from mobile phones and manoeuvre himself on to the correct path, he continued, while urging the people to use mobile phones for better purpose.

Smart Universal Academy handed over cash prize to Dayananda as a mark of encouragement for his efforts.
