Noney, February 06 2025: The 8th Longmai General Assembly was held on Thursday at the Longmai Part-1 community hall, Noney district headquarters.

The assembly saw participation from over 880 individuals representing 756 households from Longmai village.

During the session, several key resolutions were adopted, addressing critical issues such as immigration and migration policies, village settlement rights and areas, developmental projects, land use system, wildlife protection, geo-mapping, reserved forests, and the organisation of the Banana Festival.

The event was presided over by Namthuanguang Kamei, who served as the convenor, alongside Kenan Kamei as co-convenor.

Gailanchung Kamei and Zangdai Kamei acted as recording secretaries, while Kasaigai Gangmei was the assembly speaker.
