RK Imo continues support initiative

Imphal, August 05 2024: The "Ana Layengi Tengbang" initiative, launched by Sagolband MLA RK Imo in April 2022, continues to provide critical financial assistance to residents of Sagolband facing health and financial challenges.

The programme, which offers financial support to patients suffering from serious illnesses and families impacted by road accidents, distributed Rs 20,000 each to nine more patients on Monday, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 250 .

According to a statement issued by PRO of the MLA, the initiative focuses on providing Rs 20,000 to patients with critical illnesses such as heart disease, those undergoing kidney dialysis, and cancer treatment.

Additionally, individuals undergoing major medical procedures like kidney and heart transplants receive Rs 50,000 .

Families who have lost a loved one due to road accidents are also supported with Rs 50,000.The financial support underscores MLA RK Imo's commitment to improving the well-being of his constituents in Sagolband.

The financial assistance is intended to help residents access necessary medical treatments and alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with their healthcare needs, the statement added.

Speaking on the ongoing initiative, RK Imo emphasised the importance of community support during difficult times.

Tt is our duty to help each other, especially in times of need, when individuals are suffering from critical illnesses like cancer, heart, and kidney diseases.

Our aim is to serve the people of Sagolband and support families in crisis," he stated.
