Imphal, July 31 2024: The secretary of Manipur Legislative Assembly presented a total of 25 Bills, which had been approved by the Governor, on the first day of the sixth session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly that commenced on Wednesday.

The Bills were passed during the previous sessions of the Assembly and sent to the Governor for approval.

The 25 Bills included The Manipur Appropriation (No 1) Bill 2022 and The Manipur Appropriation (No 2) Bill 2022, which received the Governor s assent on March 26, 2022; The Code of Criminal Procedure (Manipur Third Amendment) Bill 2022, The Manipur Selection Commission Bill 2022, The Manipur Goods & Services Tax (Fifth Amendment)Bill 2022, The Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Fourth Amendment) Bill 2022, The Manipur Appropriation (No.4) Bill 2022, and The Manipur Land Revenue and Land Reforms (Seventh Amendment) Bill 2022, which received assent on August 9, 2022; The Manipur Panchayat Raj (Eight Amendment) Bill 2023, which received assent on February 15, 2023; The Manipur (Hill Areas) District Councils (Sixth Amendment) Bill 2022, The Manipur Properties and Open Places (Prevention of Defacement and Disfigurement) Bill 2023, The Manipur Appropriation (No.2) Bill 2023, and The Manipur Value Added Tax (Third Amendment) Bill 2023, which received assent on August 16, 2023; The Kaina Temple Board Bill 2023, The Dhanaman-juri University (Amendment) Bill 2023, and The Manipur Town and Country Planning (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2023, which received assent on March 18, 2023; The Manipur Municipalities (Eleventh Amendment) Bill 2024, The Manipur Appropriation (No 1) Bill 2024, The Manipur Appropriation (No 2) Bill 2024, The Manipur Names of Places Bill 2024, The Manipur Prevention of Malpractices in High School Leaving Certificate and Higher Secondary Examinations Bill 2024, The Manipur Labour Laws (Exemption from renewal of registration and licenses by establishments) Bill 2024, The Goods & Services Tax (Sixth Amendment) Bill 2024, and The Manipur Fiscal Responsibility of Budget Management (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2024, which received assent on March 13, 2024 .
