District level virtual interaction prog organised

A district level virtual interaction programme with Prime Minister Narendra Modi themed Garib Kalyan Sammelan was held at DTC Hall, Tuibong on Tuesday.
Presided over by Thanlon MLA Vungzagin Valte, the programme was attended by district level officials, village chiefs, CSOs and beneficiaries of various welfare schemes/programmes.
In all, 32 beneficiaries of different schemes/prograrnmes in the district were also feted during the programme Speaking at the programme, MLA Vungzagin Valte explained that the prime objective of the Prime Minister's Virtual Interaction Programme is to converse the beneficiaries to ensure that the poorest of the poor avail all schemes and benefits citizens at the grassroots level.
He pointed out that the first goal should be towards finding out the schemes and infrastructure deficits and urged all DLOs to fill the gaps in consultation with the line departments.
Expressing concern over the district's lifeline remaining cut off due to the incomplete bridge work at Leijangphai to Tallian village, he appealed to the district administration to press the department concerned for completing the project as soon as possible.
During the programme, the MLA also interacted with beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.
Later, a meeting of the DLOs chaired by the MLA was held with the main objective 'Close monitoring of Schemes'.
While reviewing the work progress with NHIDCL officials regarding the bridge construction work, the MLA instructed the officials concerned to complete the bridge on an urgent basis and submit the status report within a week's time.
The MLA further stated that as DLOs are the backbone of the district administration, all should to work on war-footing effort so that development is delivered to the public.
The meeting was attended by ADC Chingakham Shachi, additional SP Lunzamung Tungnung and other DLOs.
