The ongoing final arguments of the Upendra Commission has now turned its attention to whether the resolutions passed by the State Assembly opposing the NSCN (IM) cease fire extension to Manipur and protecting the territorial integrity of Manipur were sent to the Centre or not.
Counsels of UCM, AMUCO and victims pleaded with the Commission to get the facts first before they proceed with their arguments.
Officials of the civil Secretariat have informed the Commission that they submit their report by December 5.Mention may be made here that the State Assembly had passed four resolutions opposing any move to extend the cease fire to Manipur and to safe guard the territorial integrity of Manipur.
The Assembly Secretariat had sent copies of the resolutions to the Secretariat according to rules for despatching them to the Centre.
The counsel of the State police gave his final arguments before the Commission today.
