Imphal, October 28:
The fifth meeting of the co-ordination committee of the Naga Hoho was held today at the Naga Club Building, Kohima to take stock of the developments amongst the Naga communities, a release said.
It said the meeting received reports from the various teams it had dispatched to various Naga areas during the last couple of weeks to meet with the leaders of the different Naga communities and groups.
All reported that the outcomes were encouraging and promising, the release said.
The meeting on the other hand expressed its deep unhappiness at the October 23 attack on the Ceasefire Monitoring Cell office of the NSCN (IM) by some NSCN (K) cadres causing damages to properties and injury to one occupant, the release said.
The committee expressed its distress specially because the incident occurred during the Naga people's common search for bringing about a better understanding and unity among the different Naga national groups towards a meaningful reconciliation, it added.
It however appreciated the restraint and wisdom shown by the NSCN (IM)'s leadership in not retaliating.
