Imphal, September 28 2012: A book titled 'Tales of Human Mischief' written by Nameirakpam Bobo Meitei and published by Ruby Press and Co, New Delhi was released during a function at Manipur Press Club here by MLA Dr I Ibohalbi as Chief Guest today.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Th Ratankumar, Dean of Students Welfare, Manipur University, said that since there are very few buyers who really appreciate the work of a writer, books, thus, published does not provide much profit to the writers.

As such, there are hardly any good quality books produced by writers of the state.

Moreover, since the writers as well as the publishers hardly get any profit from publishing books, the writers also do not want to spend much time in producing good quality books, he added.

Dr Dhanabir Laishram, Social activist presided over the function while Dr Priyobarta of Department of English, DM College of Arts gave an introduction to the newly released book.
