Imphal, April 28 2016:
Pangal Students' Organisation, Manipur (PSOM) has questioned why the Magistrate, police and forensic experts, who were present at the time of picking Sagolsem Prashanta's body from Lilong Haoreibi, have not revealed the possible cause of the youth's death till today.
In a statement, the organisation said that it is shocked with the death of Sagolsem Prashanta.
On the other hand, PSOM said that it would have lauded the JAC if they launched their agitation after understanding the actual cause of Prashanta's death.
However, it now appears that certain individuals are trying to spew hatred between the two communities, the organisation observed.
The organisation also expressed suspicion that somebody is trying to divert the ILPS issue by creating such tensions.
PSOM further said that they would certainly extend co-operation to every effort of tracing the culprits if the incident turns out to be a murder case.
Urging the people of Manipur to think and act as Manipuris, the organisation urged all concerned not to give communal tinge to Lilong Haoreibi incident.
On the other hand, the organisation also condemned the killing of B Pitaranjan of Nongmeibung.
It also shared grief of the bereaved family members.
