Like Minded Group Manipur extends help to bereaved family

Imphal, June 24 2021:
Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur extended monetary assistance of Rs 22,000 (twenty two thousand) and provided edible items to the bereaved family of Laishram Solomon (17 yrs) and Laishram Joshua (13yrs) of Kumbi Uyungmakhong who were brothers were killed in a boat capsize incident on June 21 .
A press release by LMG said that the Group's Advisors Wangkhemcha Shyamjai and Sobita Mongjam, secretary Sorokhaibam Ojit, assistant secretary Ningombam Ranibala Leima were present on the occasion among others.
Talking about the incident, Sorokhaibam Ojit said that the Group took up the initiative of extending help to the grief stricken family after contacting Nongmaithem Prakash, president of Kumbi Urban Development Committee.

He further one should extend all possible help in times of need and grief and strive for a unified society.
It may be noted that Like Minded Group Manipur is a group formed with an aim to help the underprivileged sections of the society and needy people of the State in times of need from small contributions made by its members.
Earlier the Group also extended help to girl from Heirok who lost both her parents.
The members of the Group also observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls and prayed for the peace of the souls.
The Kumbi Urban Development Committee and the family members also lauded the Group for such a noble gesture amid the difficult times.
