Lamka, October 23 2010:
The JAC of Khuga Dam, that convened an open discussion on the Dam today released a seven-point declaration in the run-up to the verbal agreement they had with the Chief Minister on October 18, a day after the AICC man, Faleiro openly witnessed a blame game amongst the SPF Ministers.
The JAC's declaration scripted over the open discussion included complete implementation of the verbal promises made at the Chief Minister's chamber during their talks before the end of October; public clarification on why the 1.5 MW power project of Khuga dam would be scrapped, after a good 28 years, on the ground that the site selection was faulty; a spot enquiry and a report thereof from a competent authority over the substandard and panicky components the JAC have reported earlier, and some other local matters.
The declaration also warned of prompt counter activities in case the government fails to realize the 'verbal agreement,' for which the JAC has set November 2 to review their stance.
