Imphal, January 22 2025: Not a single individual has enrolled in BJP as the party's active member in Jiribam, currently represented by BJP MLA Ashab Uddin as per the Primary Membership Abhiyan 2024 uploaded in the party's online portal on January 18, 2025 .

The report that not a single individual has enrolled in BJP as an active member has evoked a serious question on whether MLA Ashab Uddin himself has not enrolled in the party. According to the same report, no one has enrolled in BJP as its active member in as many as 12 Assembly segments viz; Moirang, Jiri-bam, Tengnoupal, Phung- yar, Tamei, Tamenglong, Tipaimukh, Thanlon, Henglep, Churachandpur, Saikot and Singhat.

On the other hand, only eight individuals have enrolled as BJP's active members in Keishamthong AC, one in Lamsang AC, 11 in Heirok AC, 11 in Kakching AC, two in Ukhrul AC and seven in Mao AC.

Both Heirok AC and Lamsang AC are currently represented by BJP MLAs; Dr Thokchom Radheshyam and Sorokhaibam Rajen respectively and the party is still unable to elect mandal presidents for both these Assembly segments.

According to the membership campaign's report shared on the online portal on January 18, 2025, only 3103 individuals have been enrolled as active members of BJP in all the 60 Assembly segments.

With 223 active members, Patsoi AC has the largest number of BJP's active members.

Patsoi AC is followed by Thongju AC (190 active members), Nambol AC (187 active members), Khangabok AC (127 active members), Thanga AC (124 active members), Wangjing-Tentha AC (116 active members), Uripok AC (112 active members), Singjamei AC (112 active members), Bishnupur AC (110 active members), Heingang AC (109 active members) and Khurai AC (106 active members) .

BJP's primary membership campaign evoked maximum response from Nambol AC and Heingang AC.

Thongju AC and Khangabok AC came in third and fourth places respectively.

A total of 19,371 persons enrolled in BJP as primary members in Nambol AC while Heingang AC registered 19,268 primary members.

Thongju AC and Khangabok AC registered 17,806 and 16,024 primary members respectively.

Bishnupur AC registered enrolment of 15,269 primary members, Khurai AC 12,696, Lamlai AC 12,168, and Andro AC 11,102 primary members.

Among the Assembly segments located in the valley districts, the least numbers of primary members were enrolled (both online and offline) in Keishamthong AC, Moirang AC, Wangkhei AC and Lilong AC .

So far, only 2193 persons have been enrolled in BJP as primary members in Keishamthong AC, 895 in Moirang AC, 2080 in Wangkhei AC and 2295 in Lilong AC .
