Imphal, February 17 2025:
Ex-Chief Minister N Biren Singh "broke" Manipur, claimed former Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president, Manoharmayum Barish Sharma today.
He made the stinging statement during a heated argument with womenfolk who stormed his house today.
"CM Biren broke Manipur," he said, in a video of the altercation that has gone viral.
The womenfolk who claimed to be from Kumbi Assembly Constituency were at Barish's residence demanding an apology from him for his "derogatory" remark against Meira Paibis.
On Facebook, Barish had uploaded a post allegedly accusing Meira Paibis of taking money for staging protests.

Barish had allegedly posted, "Meira Paibisingda Lupa 500-500 piraga ngasina mapham kadaida amuk wakat meepham phamgadouribage" .
Miffed at Barish's comment on social media, womenfolk thronged his house and demanded an apology from him.
It was then that Barish burst in anger and made the stinging remark against N Biren Singh who recently stepped down as the Chief Minister.
"I will tell the truth, Biren broke Manipur," Barish said in the video.
Barish said he was the first Khunngakpa to have faced arrest, and alleged that "we went wherever he sent us" .
"If we are revealing, then I'll also reveal," Barish said in the video before alleging that the ex-CM had "tried to kill him multiple times" .
A few policemen were seen controlling the crowd in front of Barish's residence.
The womenfolk said they strongly condemn Barish's remark against Meira Paibis accusing them of taking money for staging protests.
A woman said Barish's post on Facebook has put Meira Paibis in the wrong light.
She said Barish's statement was against all Meira Paibis and it demeaned the morale of the "mothers" who are guarding their villages and protecting their "sons" day and night throughout the conflict.
Meira Paibis are spending day and night on roads and outside the comfort of their homes to protect Manipur's integrity.
"We can't be bought with money," said a woman, who asserted that Barish should apologise for his derogatory remark.
