Imphal, July 15 2020:
The 10th Dimki Session of Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) has resolved to support the planned delimitation to be carried out in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland, said a statement of the association today.
The 10th assembly was held on Wednesday at Imphal through video conference attended by leaders of ZB-Assam, ZB-Manipur, ZB-Nagaland, ZB Mother, Zeliangrong Youth Front, Zeliangrong Students Union and senior leaders of the Zeliangrong community.
Meidinlung Pamei, speaker ZB (AMN) chaired the session.
Regarding the affiliation of ZB Senapati Zone to the NPO, the house after threadbare discussion reaffirmed and resolved that since ZB Manipur has ceased to be one of the constituent units of UNC, the ZB Senapati zone shall not seek affiliation to any organization but shall remain as one of the constituent units of the Zeliangrong Baudi.
The Zeliangrong people's mandate given to the NSCN (IM) is withdrawn forthwith since the NSCN (IM) had derecognised the Zeliangrong Baudi and its frontal organisations.
The house also resolved to bifurcate Khoupum areas from ZB Nungba Zone for formation of ZB Khoupum Zone for administrative convenience.
Further, the executive council ZB-M has been entrusted with the task of carrying out the formality of appointment/election to the ZB Khoupum Zone, said the statement.
