Imphal, September 14 2024:
Recalling Chief Minister N Biren's bold declaration to give him 32 MLAs and he would turn Manipur into a 'golden land', the Good Governance Party (GGP) has questioned what the ruling MLAs are doing now when Manipur has become a land of bullets.
A press release issued by the GGP pointed out that immigrant terrorists have been killing women, children and the aged without any discrimination before questioning the Government's sense of justice.
Blaming the State Government for killing even an unborn child in the mother's womb, it also questioned the Chief Minister's morality.
Asking if shutting down internet and servers can be a solution to the Manipur conflict, the GGP questioned how long the Government of Manipur will continue to dance to the tune of the Government of India.
Whereas the immigrant terrorists have been continuing with their offensive including bombing of civilian targets, the Chief Minister and the ruling MLAs have been sleeping, it said.
The GGP urged the Government to stop the practice of exchanging or compensating people's lives with money.
It also asked the RIMS Director to come out with a clarification on the status of the woman who is currently kept on ventilation in RIMS ICU after she fell victim to a clash between security forces and protesters.
Decrying that no police team has come for any enquiry till date even after a report was submitted to police on the opening of fire at the residence of GGP president Yambem Laba on September 11, the party questioned if it is a deliberate act or policy of the Government.
Attacking a citizen for discussing the Government's policies and programmes and preventing police from carrying out any enquiry into such attacks project Manipur as completely lawless, it added.
Asking the Government to stop this approach, the GGP said that it's time for the people to wake up against such attitude and approach of the Government.
