On the other hand, one Yumkhaibam Shanti (64) s/o late Y Akhamba who is said to be mentally unsound could not be traced after he went missing on October 8 .
Urging the Government and its security agencies to trace Shanti and hand him over to his family, a sit-in-protest was staged today at Uyumpok community hall.
Speaking to media persons there, one Heikrujam Ibohal said that Shanti was sent back by security forces when he came toward Pukhao Dolaithabi.
After returning from the Pukhao Dolaithabi side, Shanti was seen moving toward a brick field located to the eastern side of Pukhao Terapur.
There is a Kuki village called Sadang Valley beyond the brick field and it is suspected that Shanti went to the Kuki village, Ibohal said.
"But we cannot go to the Kuki village in search of the missing man due to the prevailing situation", he said.
He then appealed to the Government and security forces to trace the missing man and hand him over to his family.
He said that they will be compelled to form a JAC and launch different modes of agitation if the Government does not listen to their appeal.
