Imphal, July 13 2020: Newly elected Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba has stated that all the privileges and benefits he gets as an MP will be dedicated and used for developmental purposes.

The statement was made during a simple programme held at Sanakonung when a team from Senbion village under Tipaimuk sub-division and delegates of Dolang village (Tamenglong district) led by its village authority member SD Pitindingi paid a visit and feted Leishemba Sanajaoba on being elected as a Rajya Sabha MP.

Congratulating the MP, the team also presented traditional clothes and vegetables grown at their villages.

Speaking at the occasion, the titular king maintained that he, as a king for the past 25 years, faced limitations and had restraints in serving the people fully.

"But, after being elected as a member of Parliament, I think I will be able reach out to more people and serve with more confidence and intent," he said.

Expressing that all benefits and funds of MP will be devoted in development activities in both the valley and hill areas, Sanajaoba maintained that it will help foster communal harmony and close bond shared among all communities of the State.

He also expressed gratitude to all communities for their encouragement and acknowledgement while assuring that he will not let the aspirations of the people go in vain.
