The Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) shut down twenty wholesale stores for selling goods at inflated rates today.
MSF carried out a drive to check the commercial activities at the surrounding areas of Khwairamband Keithel and found many wholesale stores selling goods at the price higher than the one fixed by the Government.
20 whole stores were shut down during the drive.
Speaking to the media at its office at Kwakeithel today, MSF president Hijam Roshan said that they took out a drive at Masjid Road, Alu Galli and Nagamapal in view of the price hike of essential items.
