CorCom announces 12 hrs total shutdown

The CorCom has called a 12 hour total shutdown on October 15 from 6 am to 6 pm.
It was on October 15, 1949 that India forcibly annexed Manipur (Kangleipak) and as such October 15 is known as "National Black Day", said a press release issued by the Publicity Committee, CorCom.
Manipur (Kangleipak) had a written Constitution as early as the 11th century and its independence was not totally usurped even after it came under British occupation in 1881 .
Manipur became fully independent on August 14, 1947, one day ahead of India and a new Government was set up but Manipur was forcibly annexed to India on October 15, 1949, the CorCom alleged.
Soon after, a large number of Indian armed forces were sent to Manipur in conjunction with the imposition of the draconian AFSPA 1958 which led to the killing of many innocent people, forced disappearances, fake encounters, rapes, rampant oppression and violation of the right to life, it said.
"Thus India launched a war against the people of Manipur and we are fighting a war against war", the CorCom asserted.
"Waging war against India does not mean starting a war against India.
We are only demanding an end to the alien rule over Manipur (Kangleipak) and asking the Indian armed forces to leave Manipur.
"Our demand is not secession from India.
Our demand is restoration of Manipur's sovereignty usurped by India", the CorCom asserted.
With the Government of India unable to suppress the liberation movement of Manipur, it created inter-community animosity and conflicts.
As a result, communities have been sharply polarised and they cannot go to each other's areas.
As if it is an international conflict, the Government of India has created buffer zones between communities.
Scared of fighting the freedom fighters, the Indian armed forces have been waging a proxy war.
They are arming immigrants from Myanmar, giving them money, food and all other requirements.
These mercenaries have been committing genocide and ethnic cleansing against the people of Manipur valley at the behest of the Indian armed forces, it alleged.
The support given by the Indian armed forces to the mercenaries was proven by the Indian Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi's false narrative that there was no drone bombing in Manipur, it said.
It is also proven by Assam Rifles retired Director General Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair's statements which supported a particular community from the beginning.
The ongoing proxy war has two objectives; first, suppression of the revolutionary movement and complete destruction of the Manipur valley socially, economically and politically, and second, exploitation of invaluable underground mineral resources, it said.
Exploitation of resources available in colonised countries is a common characteristic of all colonial rulers.
India has little concern for the killings, violence and arson happening in Manipur.
Their only concern is exploitation and extraction of underground resources, the CorCom continued.
In the name of guarding buffer zones, Indian armed forces have occupied several areas in the foothills and people have been denied access to these areas.
This occupation of buffer zones has a hidden objective which is extraction of petroleum, uranium, platinum, limestone and chromite, it alleged.
While a war is being waged continuously by one community using all kinds of sophisticated weapons including drones and rockets, combing operations are being carried out in the valley, it remarked.
In order to cover up the wrong narratives of General Upendra Dwivedi, AR Director General (retired) Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair, the Indian Prime Minister and the Indian Home Minister, the Indian armed forces have been victimising the valley people, it alleged.
The CorCom asked what the 60,000 strong Indian armed forces sent from Delhi have been doing after inciting a violent conflict among the communities.
India can silently watch the killings among its citizens because Manipur is under their colonial rule, it alleged.
India's attitude only exposes that they see Manipur (Kangleipak) as an occupied territory and the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) as colonised people, it further alleged.The CorCom then called upon all the communities to wake up, understand the deceptive policies of India, live together in harmony and fight collectively against India.
It added that the total shutdown will not cover medical and emergency services as well as religious functions and media.
