Manipuri woman alleges harassment by 'RAW official'

A Manipuri entrepreneur who lives in DLF Phase III has filed a complaint against a man who allegedly entered her house forcefully, claimed to be a senior official of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and harassed and tried to intimidate her.
She says the incident took place on June 30 .
Police have lodged an FIR against the accused and initiated a probe.
Speaking to TOI, she said DLF Phase II police had lodged case under weaker sections despite her serious allegations.
"He made a forced entry into my house without any warrant.
He harassed me, made false allegations against me and intimidated me," she alleged.
Police booked the accused under sections 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC on Tuesday evening.
The woman claimed she will lodge a fresh complaint against the accused if the police fail to invoke stronger sections in the FIR.
She also plans to report the matter to National Commission For Women.
"As per the complaint of victim, we have lodged an FIR against the accused and the investigation is going on", said Rao Dalbeer Singh, ACP.
