Imphal, September 09 2024:
Several CSOs based in Delhi have vehemently condemned the aerial bombings carried out by foreign enemy backed Kuki terrorists on Indian soil.
A press conference was organised by the Delhi Manipuri Society (DeMas), Meitei Heritage Society and Ningol United Progressive Initiative (NUPI) at Press Club, New Delhi today on the recent aerial bombings on Indian villages in Manipur by Kuki terrorists backed by foreign elements.
On September 1 and 2, 2024, there were simultaneous aerial bombings in the Manipur valley using high tech military grade drones and armed aggressions.

The bombings were followed by Kuki terrorists coming in an ambulance with loaded guns, and attacking the innocent villagers.
The attack killed a young mother and a man, injured 10, including a policeman, a journalist, an 8 year old daughter of the deceased woman and few others.
As the villagers fled to safer places, the terrorists unleashed a reign of terror, such as arson and plunder.
The press conference highlighted these terrors and the alarming threat such acts of terrorism posed to national security.
Addressing the press conference, Col Kishore Chand (retd), Col Shanti Kumar Sapam (retd), Ashang Kasar, president, Indigenous People's Forum, Manipur and Dr Amlan Dutt (Researcher & Expert) raised a number of concerns and demands.
Despite the presence of about 70,000 Central and State security forces and advance alerts to potential aerial attacks, there was no pre-emptive action to prevent it, they pointed out before asking who are allowing such terrorist attacks upon Indian citizens.
They demanded decisive actions from both the Central and State Governments to neutralize Kuki terrorists who are responsible for these heinous crimes.
They reiterated the demands for strict enforcement of Article 5 (X) of the revised ground rules of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) Agreements (2011) with Kuki terror outfits, i.e "in case of the groups found violating the ground rules in future, State Government on the recommendation of the Joint Monitoring Group (JMG) may terminate the SoO arrangements and also take appropriate action including use of force against the group" .
They asked what is compelling the JMG to remain a mute spectator while the Kuki terror outfits have been violating the ground rules with impunity.
They appealed to the conscience of the "Nation" to help rescue Meitei victims of this aggression which started on May 3, 2023 at Churachandpur, Kangpokpi and Tengnoupal districts and the perpetual armed assaults in Bishnupur, Imphal, Jiribam, Kakching and Thoubal districts.
They also called for an immediate security arrangement to replace the controversial Assam Rifles with any other force acceptable to the people as neutral and free from any allegation of partisan politics.
They called for measures to prevent violence orchestrated by foreign enemy backed Kuki terror outfits that are responsible for destabilizing India's border State of Manipur.
They also called for protecting and promoting the integrity of Manipur, rule of law, communal harmony, and peace initiatives free from the reign of terror unleashed by the Kuki terrorists.
The three Delhi-based CSO's highlighted that the ongoing disturbance needs to be seen beyond a localized perspective of ethnic cleansing of the Meiteis.
The truth is that Kuki terror outfits are openly threatening India's National security.
Therefore, the Central and State Governments must immediately take decisive actions against the foreign enemy backed Kuki terrorists on Indian soil before further damages are inflicted, they said.
The Central Government must respond to these threats with its full might to protect the life and property of the citizens, they added.
