All set for re-poll at 34 polling stations

As per an order of the Election Commi-ssion of India (ECI), all necessary arrangements and security measures have been taken up to conduct re-poll at 34 polling stations tomorrow.
The concerned Returning Officer, election officials and security personnel have reached their respective polling stations today noon and started preparation for ensuring smooth conduct of the re-poll.
Security personnel have been deployed in the polling stations to prevent any unwanted incident.
Political parties have constructed their polling camps few distance away from the polling stations.
The 34 polling stations where re-poll will be conducted includes five in Andro AC, one in Uripok AC, 12 in Saikul AC, three in Saitu AC, six in Thanlon AC, five in Henglep AC and one each in Saikot and Singhat AC.
The re-poll will start from 7 am till 3 pm.
Re-polling will be held in 15 polling stations under 46-Saikul and 51-Saitu Assembly Constituencies of Kangpokpi district tomorrow.
Re-poll will be held at 56/1-Saikho, 46/2-Khaochangbung, 46/3- Molkon (A), 46/5- Molkon , 46/16-Ekou Mulam, 46/18-Luwangsangol, 46/21-Khongnangpokpi, 46/24-H.Champhai, 46/30-Khamenlok, 46/42-Kamuching, 46/43-Lairok Vaiphei and 46/44-Maphou Kuki in Saikul AC.
Fresh poll will be also held at 51/2- Mayangkhang (A), 51/3-Mayangkhang and 51/12-L.Semol polling stations in Saitu AC.
Fresh poll was recommended and ordered in these polling stations due to various complaints like short recording/clipping of poll process which rendered reviewing impractical, interference in the poll process by different persons among others.
District administration, Kangpokpi has taken up stringent security measures to ensure smooth, free and fair conduct of re-poll, conveyed a press release issued by DIPR.
DEO/District Magistrate, Kangpokpi, T Ranjit Singh has promulgated fresh prohibitory order under Sub-Section 2 of Section 144 CrPC in and around the vicinity of the 15 polling stations, particularly within a radius of 100 metres from the polling stations.
An order issued by the District Magistrate today said that the prohibitory orders promulgated in the whole of Kangpokpi district on December 31, 2016 should also stand enforced in the district.
Each polling station for tomorrow's re-poll will be manned by two sections of central para-military personnel and a team of Manipur police each.
Meanwhile, polling parties assigned for the conduct of fresh poll at the 15 polling stations were dispersed from DC complex, Kangpokpi today.
