Imphal, August 06 2015:
Informing that the Accord signed between the Government of India and the NSCN (IM) is just the framework, MoS for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju has stated that the interest of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur would not be sidelined whenever the full body of the Accord is signed.
Speaking to reporters at Tulihal airport yesterday, the Union Minister said that the interest and sensitivity of all the stakeholders will be respected whenever any agreement is inked.
Rijiju further said that there is no such thing as the two sides having come to agreement on any major points.
The pact signed earlier was just the framework of agreements that will be prepared later.

When the finer points of the framework are worked out, the interests of all will be kept in mind, he assured.
"The people of the North East want peace.
Believe us, the sentiments of everyone will be respected," he assured further.
Stating that nothing about the framework of the Accord can be spelt out at the moment, Rijiju said that it is more of a confidence building measure.
DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra said that there is nothing to be apprehensive about the Accord and added that it was signed in the interest of all the people of the North East region.
On the present movement to demand the implementation of Inner Line Permit System in Manipur, Rijiju said that he cannot comment on it now as the State Government has not forwarded any proposal.
There are some provisions that the State Government can enact, he said and added that if a new legislation is sought, the Centre will definitely look into it.
The Minister also appealed to all not to resort to any form violence during any course of agitation as it would lead to the loss of everyone.
