Under PMGSY road connectivity works are taken up to connect the border villages with the rest of the district.
The whole stretch of PMGSY road from Shirui to Kachouphung spanning more one hundred kilometre need to be realigned and need major corrections, said the MLA.
Alfred went on to mention that the last portion from Phungtha to Kachouphung village maintains the gradient flow and follow the guidelines of PMGSY and questioned why other agencies cannot do the same and follow guidelines having similar topography.
Alfred also expressed dismay over the non release of funds for completion of the Pettigrew College circular road.
Construction work began in 2017, pointed out the MLA.
The public interaction programme was attended by a host of community leaders, Ukhrul ADC members, DLOs, CSOs, headmen, VAs and intellectuals from different walks of life.
