Soon after the Judge remanded the three to judicial custody for 15 days, the police arrested them in another case of similar nature.
The fourth accused who has been granted bail has been identified as Nongthombam Deepa Devi of Thoubal Sabal Tongba.
The four accused persons, Konsam Sanahanbi, Konsam Devika, Khundrakpam Anandatta, and Nongthombam Deepa Devi were produced before the Court today after the completion of police custody.
The case was on after a complaint was filed by one Amu Pamei who invested a sum of Rs 1,94,50,000 with The Dedicated Three Mother's Trust, run by Konsam Sanahanbi and her associates.
The complainant alleged that K Sanahanbi approached him at his house in 2012 and convinced him to invest in the scheme promising a monthly interest of 5 percent on the invested capital.
He claimed he was promised that invested capital will be given back once the trust receives foreign funding from Dubai.
He then invested a total of Rs 1,94,50,000 in the trust.
The complainant further alleged after he sought to withdraw his money, K Sanahanbi and her associates stopped picking up his phone calls.
K Sanahanbi was arrested from the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport on July 24 .
Her daughter was arrested from their residence.
Police then raided their residence, the purported office of the trust and recovered some documents.
During interrogation, K Sanahanbi admitted that she and her associates collected a huge amount of money from the public promising high returns and loans.
She admitted that they have not given any loan to the investors.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Khundrakpam Anandatta and Nongthombam Deepa Devi.
During the hearing today, the prosecutor cited the need for further investigation and prayed for judicial custody of the accused persons.
While the Court granted bail to Nongthombam Deepa on execution of Rs 2 lakh PR bond and surety of the same amount, it remanded the other three accused persons including the head of the "trust" to judicial custody for 15 days.
Immediately after the Court's order, the Investigating Officer filed applications seeking formal arrest of Konsam Sanahanbi, Konsam Devika and Khundrakpam Anandatta.
The Court allowed the applications and remanded them to 4 days of police custody till August 8 .
