INDIA Bloc to air demand on Dec 9

Imphal, December 04 2024: Amid the winter session of the Parliament, INDIA Bloc Manipur is set to stage a demonstration on the Manipur crisis at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on December 9 .

Earlier it was tentatively scheduled to be held on December 6 .

Workers and leaders of nine political parties including the Indian National Congress (INC), Nationalist Congress Party (SP), Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (M), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), All India Forward Bloc, Shiv Sena (UT), and All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) will take part in the protest demonstration.

The demonstration at Jantar Mantar will demand the Government of India to bring an end to the conflict in Manipur and restore peace and normalcy.

Some leaders of INDIA Blob have reached Delhi.

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Keisham Meghacahndra, and INDIA Bloc convenor CPI(M) Manipur State secretary Ksh Shanta Singh are in Delhi.

Former CM Okram Ibobi, Deputy CLP leader MLA K Ranjit, MLA Thokchom Lokeshwar, MLA O Sutjakumar and other Congress leaders will take part in the demonstration and are scheduled to depart for Delhi in the coming days.
