Lungnila's anniversary

The 12th death anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth was observed today at Kyamgei Heibong Makhong.
The programme was jointly organised by president of NH-37 Truck Owners' Association, Kh Inaoba, family members and JP Bros and Co.
Offering of floral tributes to the photograph of Elizabeth, rendition of patriotic song and presentation of gifts to successful entrepreneurs and inmates of Old Age Home, Mongsangei were the highlights of the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, Kh Inaoba said the event was organised to strengthen the hill-valley ties and promote work culture.
Dr Dhanabir Laishram expressed optimism that the observance function today would go a long way in removing misunderstanding among the hill and valley people.
A class III student of Little Flower School, Lungnila Elizabeth was kidnapped from the school gate on Nov 4, 2003 .
Her lifeless body was found after eight days.
Ten selected successful entrepreneurs and inmates of Old Age Home, Mongsangei were presented gifts at the occasion.
