FEGOCTA takes 7th Pay stir to CCpur

CCpur, February 03 2020: The Federation of Government College Teachers Association (FEGOCTA) has said that their demands for immediate implementation of 7th UGC Pay and Regulations 2018 are still sidelined by the Government despite giving written and verbal assurances on numerous occasions.

Joining the sit-in held at Churachandpur College today, leaders of the federation said that following the collective sit-in protests staged at various colleges in the State capital since January, 28, they are boycotting all academic activities including normal classes except examination from today onward.

Assam, Arunachal, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram and Meghalaya had implemented the pay structure without any agitation but due orders for implementation of the 7th Pay with respect to other employees of the State was issued on July 11, 2019, the federation added.
