Army conducts Easter celebrations

Imphal, April 02 2018:
28 RAJPUT of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) reached out to the locals on the occasion of Easter.
The battalion organised two such functions to celebrate Easter.
In the first, Commanding Officer Col Sailesh Kumar Roy visited Moltuk village and distributed gifts to the children.
This was followed by a church ceremony at battalion HQ, Moltuk.
People in and around Moltuk attended the function.

In all 72 civilians attended the event.
The event culminated with lunch for all.
In another such event Company Operating Base Molcham conducted a special programme for the villagers of Khengjang at their local church.
The Company Operating Base Commander along with personnel from the Company Operating Base attended the discourse by the local pastor.
This was followed by an interactive session and vote of thanks.
In all 80 civilians attended the event.
The event culminated with tea and snacks for all arranged by the Company Operating Base.
The villagers were very appreciative of the efforts of unit being part of their celebrations.
