Sensing trouble, all the phumdi-hut owners blocked the way of the police and LDA team with their boats.
When the police team tried to break through the barricade, the fishermen showed them the restraint order of Gauhati High Court issued on January 25 last year as well as the warning notices issued by the same court on numerous occasions.
Luckily, the police team retreated after seeing the court orders and the angry mood of the fishermen, the phumdi-hut owner recounted.
