Candle light for (L) Nino

Paying silent condolence to (L) Nino Tainam and in continuation of the demonstration for speedy probe and put a stop to racial discrimination towards North Eastern communities in Indian cities, youth from NE , student leaders gathered with candles in prayer for the departed soul in New Delhi today evening.
Arunachal Pradesh Student Leader Taba Doni told The Sangai Express that he and (L) Nino's cousin went to the police station to file an FIR on January 30 when Nino passed away.
They were told that the FIR was not sufficient for registering a case.
"The next day on January 31 we filed another FIR again" he said.
He reiterated that the police dropped Nino back to the same spot.
"The police has the video recording of the dropping back , but did not have any record of the incident" he said "Nino paid about Rs 10,000 to the shop keeper before he was taken to the police station" .
The money was paid to the shop keeper for the damage caused to his shop, where the argument started and subsequent fight followed and later a group of people gathered and thrashed him up in Lajpat Nagar � 1 .
"There is no record of any other written statement or compromise in the police station and we are waiting for the post mortem report" said the student leader.
Given the numerous assault and issues faced by the North Eastern communities specially the youth , this time the student leaders came out strongly to persistently follow the case and a series of non-stop activities are being planned, confided one of the student leader .
