Governor discusses MU VC issue

Imphal, May 29 2021: Governor Dr Najma Heptulla on Saturday talked with leaders of six student bodies in a virtual meeting during which the latter showed copy of the memorandum earlier sent to the HRD ministry, to the Governor with the demand for appointment of a regular vice-chancellor for Manipur University.

In response, the Governor assured of pursuing with the ministry to declare results of the interview conducted for appointment of VC at the earliest so that a regular VC could be appointed soon.

AIMS president S Premchand, DESAM president N Edison, MSF president Kh Vidyasagar, KSA president N Chetan, SUK president N Dhana and AMSU vice-president L Athouba attended the virtual meet.
