Nemcha distributes essential items to people without ration cards

The COVID Task Force teams of Kangpokpi and Yaikong-pao-Tumnoupokpi on Thursday handed over essential items including rice, dal and potatoes to people who do not possess ration cards in their respective areas.
MLA Nemcha Kipgen personally participated in the distribution of essential items at Kangpokpi.
Before distributing the essential items, the MLA said that to ensure no one goes hungry during the pandemic-induced curfew and while fighting the dreaded COVID-19, "I have arranged all these essential items only for the people who are yet possess ration cards", adding that the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi had already arranged ration for all cardholders.
Nemcha also strongly emphasised the importance of vaccination and asked the beneficiaries to get vaccinated at the earliest, telling them that they can get help from the COVID Task Force anytime for vaccination.
She then handed over the essential items to the beneficiaries at the KYU office in the presence of CTF Kangpokpi.
Earlier in the morning, CTF Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi distributed essential items at Yaikongpao to all the beneficiaries under its jurisdiction.
Around 160 beneficiaries without ration cards received the essential items provided by the local MLA.
The CTF volunteers also delivered the rations at homes for those who could not come to the distribution site.
At Kangpokpi, around 155 beneficiaries without ration cards availed the local MLA's essential items which were distributed at the KYU office till Thursday afternoon.
CTF Kangpokpi and CTF Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi expressed profound gratitude to Nemcha Kipgen for her selfless service and kindness towards the people of her constituency during these difficult times.
District Hospital Kangpokpi medical superintendent Dr Paotinlal Haokip, PHC Kalapahar MO Dr Pilhing also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to MLA Nemcha Kipgen for her tireless efforts and sacrifices in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 in Kangpokpi AC.
The medical officers said that the local MLA had donated oxygen concentrators, and protective gears for healthcare workers during the review meeting held on Wednesday.
