Imphal, March 21 2025: Under the aegis of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNER), Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) conducted a one-day orientation programme on 'harnessing renewable energy sources' and an awareness programme on farmers' schemes under MNER, at Laipham Khunou multipurpose community hall under Heingang AC on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, MANIREDA joint director W Suraj informed that various schemes and projects under the Agency including installation of solar pumps, solar water heaters and biogas plants are being implemented.

Farmers can avail the solar water pumps at subsidised rates, while selected beneficiaries would be provided with the solar water heaters at affordable rates.

He further informed that livestock farmers can develop biogas plants at affordable rate and added that beneficiaries can also seek support with regard to installation of roof top solar panels.

All related information of these schemes can be availed from MANIREDA's North AOC office or during awareness schemes organised by the Agency in each locality, he said and urged the people especially the farmers to avail these schemes.
