RIMS organises CME on doctor-patient relationship

Medical Society RIMS on Friday launched RIMS Golden Jubilee Continuing Medical Education (CME) Series by organising a 'CME on Doctor-Patient Relationship' at RIMS Jubilee Hall.
The programme was attended by University of Transplantation Sciences, Ahmedabad vice chancellor Dr Pranjal R Modi as chief guest and RIMS director Prof Ahanthem Santa Singh as president, while NEIGRIHMS, Shillong director Prof Nalin Me-hta, RIMS medical superintendent Prof Nepram Sanjib Singh and RIMS dean (Academics) Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam were present as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, RIMS director Prof A Shanta explained that Friday's programme was the first of the CME series being planned in connection with Golden Jubilee of RIMS in which noted specialist doctors from various parts of India will be invited for talk on latest developments in the field of medical science.
The series aims to familiarise doctors in the state about the latest technologies and changing scenario of medical science in the world by facilitating them to interact with specialists, he added.
During the technical session, discussion on topics such as 'Doctor-patient relationship: past, present and future', 'developing a harmonious doctor-patient relationship', 'Resolving conflicts in doctor-patient relationship' and 'Doctor and patient communication' were held.
