Imphal, October 18 2021:
Council of Teachers' Association (COTA) has appealed to the state government to issue the rectification order of ROP-2019 without further delay in the larger interest of the teachers' community.
In a release, COTA publicity and information secretary Rubi Kamson stated that the association is aggrieved by the inordinate delay in issuing the rectification order in respect to school teachers.
It is pertinent to mention that the state cabinet had on December 19, 2020 approved rectification of ROP-2019 for all the category of teachers including primary teachers, graduate teachers and higher secondary lecturers, the secretary recounted and expressed strong resentment that the order is yet to see the light of day even after lapse often months.
"It seems the process for rectification order is on tortoise pace and we are compelled to construe that the interests of the teachers' community has not been looked into in the right eagerness," the secretary said.
COTA, however, pledged to lend its unstinted support and cooperation in all the endeavours of the education department especially the 'School Fagathansi' mission so as to bring the education sector on par with the modern standard in conformity with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 .
