Langban Heisoi offered, foundation laid at Mt Manipur

In remembrance of the 23 Manipuri forefathers who were exiled to Andaman and Nicobar Islands by the then British government on the alleged charge of waging war against the Queen Empress, Dalit Sahitya Academy, Manipur offered Langban Heisoi at Mount Manipur, formerly Mount Harriet, on Wednesday.
According to a press release, Dalit Sahitya Academy, Manipur also laid the foundation stone for constructing a memorial site of Maharaj Kulachandra in the presence of Government Circuit House, South Point Port Blair protocol in-charge J Seshagiri, protocol assistant K Ganeshkumar, Dr Y Mahendrakumar, Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy, New Delhi national secretary Dr Y Mahendrakumar, Manipur Art arid Culture retired assistant director Haobam Chitra, and social activists Dr Rajen Ayangba and Dr Yendrenbam Kiran among others.
