BOSEM staffers urged to withdraw strike

Imphal, December 15 2024: Indigenous Youths' Association of Kangleipak (IYAK), Lalambung Makhong has appealed io the staffers of Board of Secondary Education (BOSEM), who are on pen-down strike opposing appointment of new chairman, to withdraw their strike considering welfare of students, and urged authority concerned to look into the matter.

In a release, IYAK secretary general N In-aoba Angom noted that the strike by BOSEM staff is creating unwanted problems for the students including in issuance of certificates and application for certificate correction.

As the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2024-25 round the corner, the strike is also causing anxiety among the parents and guardians of students, who would be appearing in the said examination, it noted.

IYAK further urged authority concerned to resolve the matter at the earliest, so as to mitigate inconveniences faced by the students.
