Governor visits CAU, meets CRPF CO

Imphal, October 13 2024:
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya visited the College of Food Technology, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Lamphelpat, here on Sunday.
Upon his arrival, the Governor was warmly received by Dr Anupam Mishra, vice-chancellor CAU and other faculty members.
During the visit, the Governor had a comprehensive tour of the college's food processing equipment and manufacturing facilities, designed to enhance student learning in food technology.
He commended the college and the university for committing to advancement of developing local produce and manufacturing in the state.
Governor Lakshman Prasad also inspected the biofloc units at the college, where various fish species and fish feeds are cultured.
Later, he visited the North East Food Museum at Eco-tourism Park, CAU.
During an interactive session at the administration block, the Governor engaged with students, answering their questions and sharing his insights.
He stressed the vital role of agriculture in shaping the nation's future and highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation on sustainable farming and good nutrition.
In the evening, 109 Bn CRPF commandant Govind Prasad Uniyal called on Governor Lakshman Prasad at the Raj Bhavan.
