Lucknow leg of NIT culminates

Imphal, November 11 2024:
The Lucknow leg of the National Integration Tour (NIT), organised by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army, concluded successfully on November 10 .
A total of 20 students from Manipur participated in the tour conducted on November 9 and 10, allowing them to explore the historical and cultural richness of Lucknow.
During their visit, the students had an opportunity to interact with General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command Lt Gen Anindya Sen Gupta.
The interaction inspired the students to express their aspirations to serve the nation and provided them with valuable insights from the general officer's experiences.
The group toured several significant landmarks, including the Lucknow Residency, Bada Imam-bara, Rumi Darwaza, and Hazratganj.
They also received a guided tour of the 11 Gorkha Regimental Recruitment Centre, where they witnessed first-hand the training routines of infantry soldiers.
Launched on November 2, as part of Operation Sadbhavna, the National Integration Tour aims to promote national integration and empower young minds through exposure to diverse cultures and experiences across India.
The tour has enhanced cultural understanding and strengthened bonds among youth from different regions.
The students are scheduled to return to Imphal on November 12, according to a PRO Defence release.
