Kakching, September 08 2024:
Condemning alleged failure of the state government in protecting the people and resolving the ongoing conflict vis-a-vis the recent attack by Kuki militants on innocent Meetei civilians using advanced weaponry, Kakching District Bar Association treasurer Sansweta Kshetrimayum called the state government powerless and dummy regime.
Addressing the media at Legal Aid Clinic, Kakching on Sunday, Sansweta stated use of high-tech drone and rockets by Kuki terrorists cannot be taken lightly as it is an attack on India itself.
Sansweta continued that except for 10 Kuki MLAs, rest of the minister and MLAs are just dummies who have no constitutional power, while adding that the state government, Home Department, DGP, chief secretary and security advisor and Unified Command chairman Kuldiep Singh are also timid.
The KDBA treasurer further warned that rest of the 50 MLAs of the state should announce their resolve to protect the state, otherwise, the youth may rise up as in Bangladesh.
The meet was also attended by KDBA president Nongmaithem Madhu and general secretary B Prem Sharma along with other members.
Before the press conference, a two-minute silence was observed in honour of those who sacrificed to protect Manipur.
