Minister Nemcha inspects Ccpur projects

Imphal, June 08 2022:
Minister for Textiles, Commerce & Industry (TCI), Nemcha Kipgen on Wednesday inspected key infrastructure development projects of the TCI Department in Churachandpur district.
The minister visited the Industrial Estate in Churachandpur which is listed for inauguration as a part of the government's 100 Action Plan for First 100 Days and sought cooperation of the locals for proper maintenance of the Industrial Estate once it is fully functional.
She also stated that such projects of the government will help generate employment.
Currently, Industrial Estate of Imphal West district at Takyelpat, Bishnupur district's at Tera Urak and Thoubal district's at Kuraopokpi are operating fully, she informed.
It may be mentioned that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 2018 decided to set up industrial estates in each of the 16 districts of Manipur with the financial assistance from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and NEC.
During the visit, Nemcha also assessed the infrastructure of District Industrial Centre (DIC), Churachandpur, Cluster Type of Training Centre, Livelihood Business Incubation Centre and inspected the Cold Chain Unit which is still under construction.
The minister also interacted with the staff of DIC, Churachandpur and urged for their cooperation for efficient running of the department to further contribute in the socio-economic development of the state.
MANIDCO managing director of Peter Salam and officers concerned and officials of the department accompanied the minister during the visit.
