Imphal, May 08 2022:
Keishamthong Local Council CPI held its 39th conference at Keishampat Yumjao Lairembi community hall on Sunday, a release by CPI-Manipur State Council informed.
As per the release, the conference was attended by CPI/MSC state secretary L Sotinkumar, Imphal City District secretary S Yaima, Keishamthong Local Council leader H Prithiviraj, state secretariat members N Singhajit; RK Amusana and Manipur Nupi Marup president M Sakhi as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, L Sotinkumar accused the ruling government pf putting the people under distress by hiking the prices of essential items and petroleum products.
The 100 days action plan of the government has failed to bring about any visible and positive changes.
Instead of raising the wages of labourers/workers, the amount of pay and allowance of ministers/MLAs has been increased.
In addition, many drug peddlers have been busted but no drug lords have been ever arrested.
The crimes against women are also rising at an alarming rate.
Although the authority has failed to live up to its promises, CPI will do all that is necessary to prevent such injustices, he added.
