CRPF reaches out to Kpi villages

Under the aegis of the Manipur & Nagaland sector in Imphal, 30 Bn CRPF stationed at S Saheibung organised a Civic Action Programme for the year 2024-25 at Haibung, Sinam Kaithong and T Mangjol villages under Keithelmanbi police station in Kangpokpi district on Saturday during which plastic water storage tanks, woollen blankets, rechargeable solar LED lights and rechargeable LED torch lights were distributed to the villagers.
According to a release, the programme was inaugurated by additional SP Kangpokpi Samir Ahmed in presence of other notable attendees including 30 Bn CRPF second-in-command Mahendra Singh and assistant commandants Jeetender Kumar, Ravi Chhetri, Subodh Kumar, Sunil Kumar Tomar and Ashok Kumar Panigrahi; and medical officer Dr Neeraj Kumar along with respective village chiefs.
On the other hand, 69 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Mantripukhri under the aegis of the IG M&N Sector CRPF distributed sports items under its civic action programme at Social Integrity Boys Association (SIBA) ground, Heingang Awang Leikai under Heingang police station on Saturday.
During the programme football, football nets, boots, football jerseys and shocks were distributed to the players of association, informed the Battalion in a statement.
69 Bn CRPF second-in-command Harji Lal Bairwa, deputy commandant Yogendra Kumar Mishra, SIBA president Th Shy-am, secretary Th Shyamjai, and other dignitaries of association, villagers and players were present at the event, it added.
Meanwhile, 120 Bn CRPF and Patsoi Police station jointly organised a civic action programme at New Keithelmanbi on Saturday and distributed sports and household items to the locals.
