AOI launches campaign to aid Cancer patients

Ahead of the World Cancer Day, which is observed on February 4 every year, American Oncology Institute (AOI), South Asia's leading chain of cancer hospitals, launched a campaign to bring out a crucial and important aspect of Cancer journey on Thursday.
Through the campaign, AOI aims to highlight the importance of mental support needed by the cancer patients to make them feel that they are not alone in the fight against Cancer as being around family, friends, and treating experts gives the patients the emotional strength to cope and get on faster to the road of recovery.
"It is crucial to team up, lend a shoulder and say an encouraging word, while our technological superiority, clilinical excellence, and passionate service help the patient to fight back Cancer.
AOI's specific treatment regimens are based on each patient's need.

Many of the patients during th^ir cancer journey lose hope and are de-motivated.
Therefore, it is important to come together and constantly motivate them by showcasing that life does not stop when cancer strikes, he said.
Dr Vijay Kumar Vemuri, Group Chief Operating Officer, CTSI, commented, "Cancer care cannot slowdown in any situation.
Precision in cancer care is largely dependent on the type of technology that is used for treating Cancer.

The World Cancer Day is an initiative under which the entire world unites to fight against tiie global cancer epidemic.
Cancer has become one of the primary causes of death in India.
Cancer cases in the country are likely to increase to 15.6 lakh by 2025 � a 12 per cent increase from current estimated cases � based on current trends, according to the National Cancer Registry Programme Report 2020, he pointed out.
