ZUF, others condoles demise of Abuan Kamei

Zeliangrong civil societies as well as the armed Zeliangrong United Front (ZSF) have expressed deep condolences on the untimely demise of Abuan Kamei, the last personal assistant (PA) of freedom, fighter Rani Gaidinliu, of Luangkao village in Tamenglong district.
Luangkao is also the native village of Rani Gaidinliu.
In a condolence note, the ZUF said Abuan Kamei not only properly recorded personal accounts of Rani Gaidinliu's life and works particularly during the period of India's independence but also handed over both written and oral historical accounts and documents related to Rani Gaidinliu's Zeliangrong homeland movement to younger generation of the community.
Abuan Kamei was considered an asset of information relating to Zeliangrong movement and the movement initiated by Zeliangrong People's Convention, recounted the Front and shared pain and grief of Abuan Kamei's family, relatives and well-wishers.
Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation Manipur (RN-SOM) and Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM) also condoled the untimely demise of Abuan Kamei.
Both the organisations also shared pain and grief of the bereaved family.
Abuan (72) suffered stroke and breathed his last in Kohima, Nagaland on Sunday.
